Fri, Mar. 26th, 2004 12:08 amJust watched bits of the Firefly extras on the DVD, and man, I want the show back =(. I really, really desperately want the movie to succeed wildly.
I don't know what it was -- so many things to find out, such an interesting world, so much backstory. Right now Wonderfalls still isn't really hooking me, although that's not quite as fair, seeing as how it's just had two episodes. But there's no sense of depth yet, no questions on why animals talk to Jaye or what it means or anything. With Firefly, there was this entire world and so many questions: what was a Companion? What were the intricacies of the Companions Guild? How did the civil war start? What happened so that everyone speaks Chinese? What about River? What about Book? Etc.
*sigh*

Wed, Mar. 17th, 2004 10:36 pmI just watched Objects in Space again, and it hits on one very scary thing for me. Early just gets off his spaceship and floats down to Serenity, no rope, nothing. This completely freaks me out -- just the person in outer space, nothing tethering them to anything, with just a chance shift somewhere able to send them spinning out into the eternity of space.
Yikes.

Mon, Feb. 16th, 2004 10:57 pmRead a piece on the marriages going on in SF right now, and awwwww ^_^. Well, except for the part that they've had to start turning away people because they don't have the capacity =(.
Still loving Firefly. Finally saw Trash, which was hilarious! Plus, naked Mal, always of the good. And I like Inara more when she gets ruffled and angry instead of being a composed Companion.
Still completely adore Simon.

It did drag a bit. But damn, so much better than Train Job.
I want to be in this universe more, and it irks me to no small extent that I can't. Well. Twelve more episodes at least.
