Just watched bits of the Firefly extras on the DVD, and man, I want the show back =(. I really, really desperately want the movie to succeed wildly.

I don't know what it was -- so many things to find out, such an interesting world, so much backstory. Right now Wonderfalls still isn't really hooking me, although that's not quite as fair, seeing as how it's just had two episodes. But there's no sense of depth yet, no questions on why animals talk to Jaye or what it means or anything. With Firefly, there was this entire world and so many questions: what was a Companion? What were the intricacies of the Companions Guild? How did the civil war start? What happened so that everyone speaks Chinese? What about River? What about Book? Etc.

*sigh*
