Wow, I feel like it's been a while since I've posted picture spam. Part of it is because I took some pictures, and then lost the memory card. ARGH.

Anyway, I actually finished some knitting!



Finally! A picture of Rachel's tatami kimono, all completed. Blocked, seamed, finished, everything. It looks a little short on me, but Rachel's smaller than I am.

And now, the start of Yoon's tatami kimono! The yarn is actually a little darker; my flash washes things out. I love the colors on this one -- it's made with the Spinel colorway of Socks That Rock.




Hedera socks, made with KPPPM, for my sister. I think they might be a little too narrow for her feet, sigh.




Side view of the Hederas. I love love love the lace pattern. It's amazingly easy to memorize, but still interesting enough to not be boring. Also, this is my first pair of top-down socks! I don't think I have a bias either way.




One finished Baudelaire! Oops, looks like the sock is on a little crooked. Oh well.




Ok, I love the way the pattern is written, but I have to say, the increases to make these side cables are a killer! K4 without dropping, then k tbl for all four. Ack. But the result is so nice....

I want to believe that Ren is named after the boyfriend/musician in the Nana manga/anime. Because if I had rats, I might very well name them after characters from Nana.

Or maybe Ren = Renji from Bleach, and Bya = his shinigami captain Byakuya. Because I would also name rats after Bleach characters. And Ruki would be short for Rukia!

I'm not sure why I have this impulse to project manga personas onto your rats!

Hee! I think Ren of Nana is all together too cool to be Ren the Rat's namesake, given that Ren the Rat does things like accidentally roll over onto his back.

But you are absolutely right about the Bleach names! I even had a poll in my LJ when I first got them -- I think I was picking between Renji, Byakuya and Rukia and Tohru, Yuki and Kyo. Alas, all manga trios seem to have one girl, so poor Ruki got stuck with a girl's name. But it fits! Everyone thinks he is so cute and innocent when he is actually very devious and crafty, just like his namesake!

Wow, they are named after Bleach characters! I couldn't remember ever seeing you write about Bleach, so I thought it must be my over-active imagination. Of course now I see you have a whole Bleach tag!

I love Rukia, and I think her character & her relationship with Ichigo (which I read as platonic) sold me on the anime.

I have a cat who is just as handsome as Nana's Ren, but not at cool; he's more like a mix of the two Nanas in personality, leaning more towards Hachi most of the time.

Yeah, I haven't been keeping up with Bleach lately, though I love it, just because of how hilarious it is. So much Rukia love!
