Random TV note
Fri, Dec. 8th, 2006 11:31 amMy current impressions:
- Dean cracks me up, particularly his terrified face on the airplane. I have decided that Dean is like my rats: he believes he is incredibly dignified, but he is actually not, which makes everything ten times funnier.
- John and Dean Winchester are overcompensating for something, given their monster cars. Sam in all likelihood drove a hybrid, which he had to sell to go demon hunting.
- Dean interacting with children is incredibly cute.
- Dean shooting panicked looks at Sam in hopes of emotional intervention for interview subjects will never stop being funny.
- Ditto with Dean snarfing down mini hotdogs while posing as a priest.
- All the people on this show look the same. They need to hire a new casting agency, beccause all the men are middle-aged, thinnish and slightly balding, while all the women have long blonde hair. Luckily, since most people end up being killed, I don't get people confused.
- Dean is totally wearing John Winchester's old leather jacket!
I'm not sure if I am fannish, but I may randomly Tivo episodes for entertainment value.
Then after many computer problems, I finally managed to ahem the latest episode of Heroes for Rachel. It is even cooler the second time around.
More spoilery Heroes spec for 1x11
I completely confused Rachel by yelling hysterically at the screen during the conversation between Isaac and Eden, because that entire time, Isaac's painting of the Human Torch is innocently hanging in the background. Except! It is a man exploding! And it looks like he is flying! So I really do think that Nathan will end up giving Peter his powers so Peter can explode in the atmosphere and hopefully also still have healing powers from Claire and thereby save New York! And they had this painting hanging there for ages! I cannot believe the writers had this sitting in front of us the entire time!
I suspect this show is going to be incredibly fun to rewatch.
In other, non-TV-related news, the rats are now mellowing out considerably, and I spent many episodes of SPN with three rats hunkered down in my lap like so many furry, flat logs, happily being scritched by two people.
They are so spoiled and lazy and utterly adorable!
