Gyaaah! I totally get the Subaru thing now! He wasn't all the interesting in the manga, but that was probably because they didn't have a super nifty episode that was all atmospheric and moody and beautiful focused on him and his pain!

Has anyone vidded this?? With the cherry blossom petals and the puddles of rain and the rain pouring?

Um. That was really all I had to say about that.

As far as I can tell, everyone grabs the confrontation with Seishiro for vids, but no one does that initial walk which is SO FUCKING GORGEOUS.

At some point, I will post on the revelations on Episode 9 that came to me at Vividcon. I mean, in a coherent fashion.

Damnit. I think I've totally glommed on Subaru and his White Coat of the Tragically Doomed. (Me: "OMG Subaru is so cool!!!" The Boy: "Huh?" Me: "He's so tragically doomed!" The Boy: "Uhhh... ok." The Boy doesn't understand.)

Isn't that gorgeous? It's the most beautiful cartoon I've ever seen in my life, including Miyazaki. The silence, the tap-tap-tap of his feet, the rain and the puddles and the sorrow. Truly inspired.
