Whoo! Lauren and Sark team up!
Um. That's about my only comment. I think I'm getting a bit tired of this show, which does not bode well. Too much emotional exposition in the beginning, to a handy psychiatrist at that. Too much Sydney and Vaughn whining.
And I'm still mad at JJ Abrams for taking the easy way out and making Lauren not just on the other side, but thoroughly evil on the level of outsmarting Sark. And kissing him. Because now of course, Sydney and Vaughn are in no way in the moral wrong and there are no obstacles between them and their soulmatey true love! *rolls eyes* No, he's got to make it as black and white as possible.
But wow, Melissa George looks gooood ^_^. And in that black leather-ish suit too, yum. AND with Sark! Two British blondes, oh joy!
And totally saw that "You're saying Sydney is actually your daughter?" coming from a mile away.

Re: I so agree!
Wed, Feb. 18th, 2004 10:19 am (UTC)Ditto for Sark. I love the fact that I can't tell what they're going to do -- I wasn't sure if Sark would be angry because she killed his father, or what! And the whole power dynamic between them fascinates me right now.
Very much agree with you about showing and not telling. Because hey, really, nothing I've seen on screen convinces me that Sydney and Vaughn were meant for each other! I started watching La Femme Nikita (didn't like Michael quite as much, but really loved Nikita) but stopped because the plots weren't quite as good. But wow, I loved the incredible greyness of Section One.
I miss Firefly =(. I've only got one more DVD to go before it's over, and I'm still kind of mourning so many character arcs that haven't been able to develop. I adored the characters on Firefly, every one of them, and I really wanted to see what Joss was going to do with them, sigh. Have interesting visions of Simon going down a sort of Wesley-path and Jayne maybe being a real hero sometime.
