My addiction continues!
Wed, Oct. 25th, 2006 07:13 pmSome very nice person at work was thanking me for doing something and gave me a gift certificate (options were B&N, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, something else I don't remember because I immediately gravitated toward BOOKSBOOKSBOOKS).
And now, I have gone way out of my way to the nearest B&N. Instead of doing something practical and buying something to fill in the many gaping holes in my manga collection, I have instead started yet another new series.
But! It was Fullmetal Alchemist vol. 1, the manga! I flipped it open, and it was Ed and Al, and I could not resist and walked out with a giant smile on my face.
This show has eaten my braaaaaaaaains!

Yes! The anime adapted some elements from the novels as well,
It is very good I am too lacking in time/funds to buy video game equipment. I spent about 15 minutes playing as Ed on one of the FMA games on an instore-console, and I about fangirled myself into a heart attack from getting to blow stuff up with alchemy and from Al running up and yelling at me/Ed in-game for getting too far ahead of him. "Bad nii-san!"

Thu, Oct. 26th, 2006 07:53 pm (UTC)OMG I never buy video games but now I am tempted to find someone who does just so I can get video game Al to scold Ed that is the cutest thing ever and my brain may have just exploded again.
Re: the icon is proof!
Thu, Oct. 26th, 2006 08:22 pm (UTC)I KNOW! And I have no patience to play video games either, but I am so tempted to just buy the games and pester someone to play them for me on their game console and call me out of my book whenever Ed & Al do something cute.

Thu, Oct. 26th, 2006 08:41 pm (UTC)Also, I opened that last link here at work and nearly fell off my chair. Mmmm guh.
Darn. Now I'm sad my game-playing ex is an ex, since he is the only person I know who I could pester to play games for me.

Thu, Oct. 26th, 2006 07:22 pm (UTC)They're fast reads, too. I'd suggest a trip to Barnes and Noble, a coffee, and an overstuffed chair there. :)
