Just watched Serenity for the first time.

It did drag a bit. But damn, so much better than Train Job.

I want to be in this universe more, and it irks me to no small extent that I can't. Well. Twelve more episodes at least.

And I heart Simon. And Kaylee.

Really? I think you may be right... a lot of why I enjoyed it was just seeing how all the tensions that have been in the episodes I've seen were set up. Mal kissing the cross in the beginning, Jayne's mercenariness (is that a word? oh well), his dislike of Simon and River on the ship, Wash's uneasiness with Zoe and Mal...

Plus, they shot Kaylee!
