Gaaaaaaah! To feel productive, I packed more. But since I'm lazy, I didn't want to pack kitchen stuff, which isn't that easily boxable. So... I now have 8 boxes of books in my bedroom.

WOE!

I no longer have shelves and shelves of books double-stacked surrounding me! No more ability to casually browse the shelves!

I pet the remaining three shelves of mass markets that are left, along with my Nana manga.

I feel very naked all of a sudden.

*sympathy!* I hate having books packed up.

The last time we moved, I did almost all the packing myself. It was easiest to start with the books rather than the (supposedly) more essential stuff like kitchen things, but it was very discomfiting to be suddenly surrounded by empty bookshelves. I unpacked them into the new house at record speed and felt much better afterward.

The empty bookshelves are almost worse than empty walls =(. They're just so sad! They should be stacked full.

It's true! And the thing is, I'll probably be completely surprised by some things I have, because I haven't read half of the things I own.

Oh, I feel that way even with books I own, when I'm unpacking. "What a neat collection! I want to have a collection this good. Oh, wait ..."

I so need a Palm Pilot or something so I can start carrying around a list of what I own. I am buying duplicates more and more now...

I hate packing kitchen stuff, too. Books seem so much easier to deal with, except their absence and inaccessibility is psychologically much harder. I've moved often enough that I know this, and yet still I do it to myself every time.

Um, since I'm late to the party, when do you move? *^_^*

Urgh, packing kitchen stuff will suck because of the awkward shapes, but I've finally resigned myself to eating pre-packaged foods till move day.
