Tue, Jan. 17th, 2006 10:42 pmAnd because I am bored... a poll! Vote on what books I should bring to Taiwan!
Books have been selected because they are books that I will probably not end up reading for a while but still want to read. They also have to be books that I wouldn't necessarily mind leaving behind in Taiwan, and they have to be books that don't weigh two tons, just in case I don't finish them at home and have to lug back with me. And they have to be relatively entertaining so I can concentrate on them in the airplane.
Trip!book selection is indeed a weighty and serious matter.

Wed, Jan. 18th, 2006 07:18 pm (UTC)And mostly these are only to read on the flight and at home... I always try to sleep the whole way through the flight, since it takes off around one in the morning CA time and arrives at 6 in the morning Taiwan time, and if I sleep the whole way, I get very, very little jet lag.
And then there are enough books at home that I can reread or read, plus any manga I buy, and then I make my parents take me to the new big English bookstore to buy more books specifically for the flight home. Then I leave the books I brought to Taiwan at home, and they become fallback reading for the next trip!
Uh, why yes, I do have an entire system worked out...
