While shelving the business section today, I came across the 1996 version of Dress for Success for Women. Being curious, I flipped it open, and it fell right to a page in which the author advises all women to wear skirts to work unless absolutely necessary. He says this because much research shows that men have problems taking orders or listening to women in pants.

1996!!

WTF?!

Grrrrrr. I am of half a mind to take that book and bury it somewhere in the store where no one will ever see it.

I dunno, my husband takes orders just fine, and I almost never wear skirts.

Seriously!

Besides, who wears skirts to work? And I'm kind of insulted by the fact that women have to be the accomodating ones because oh, the poor men, they're just not used to having women in the workplace. Total bull!
