Nikita 1x07-1x09

oyceter1x07 was definitely the best of the batch. More Nikita rescuing female recruits from Division! She can form her own small army! I would totally watch that show, although I'm sure the networks would cancel it an episode in. The side plot with Robbie was suitably creepy, and I love the ending with Amanda. That is the Division I want to watch! That and the one where they rigged the training exercise with Alex.
Alas, 1x08 and 1x09 weren't nearly as good. I hope they don't do a Michael/Nikita retread with Thom/Alex, especially now that Thom is an active agent. On the other hand, I had groaned at the Thom/Alex kiss in the previews of the week before, and I was so glad to find Alex doing it as a way to cover her slipping Nikita's antidote into his pocket. It was also nice to see them continue the plot with medical and Alex's wrist in the next episode, although I seriously want to know why they have narcotic painkillers out but have to search for non-narcotic ones? Especially since Alex can't be the first ex-addict they have, given their recruiting methods.
I've mostly forgotten the rest of 1x08, which was more mission of the week. Thankfully, they've been throwing in a few more twists in the missions of the week, but while I hadn't predicted the girl being an actual agent, it didn't elevate the episode above the ordinary.
Then 1x09, aka Michael Has Lots of Manpain. I groaned when Division came in, because I really didn't want Michael to rescue Nikita again, and cheered when she rescued him instead. However, I think that's one of the few things I liked. First: EMO MANPAIN ARGH. They killed his wife and baby! Most boring angsty backstory ever. Also, bonus negative points for Muslim terrorists. And Shane West isn't too good at being the happy family man. He keeps being angsty even while teasing his wife! And while I think this was supposed to make me ship Nikita/Michael more, I just wondered why in the world Nikita would be helping him kill the guy instead of bundling him up and delivering him to other authorities, like she usually seems to do. Also, I wanted to whap Michael when he went for his extremely stupid airport scheme. And then when he was all "REVENGE!!!!" and "Percy, you are my true friend." I roll my eyes at you and your angst Michael!
On the other hand, now that Thom has graduated, we see small hints that they might FINALLY go the frenemy route with Jaden and Alex! I have been waiting for this for forever! I hope they do not mess it up.
