Not-so-spontaneous shounen manga panel

I am so sad the shounen manga panel did not make it to official Wiscon scheduling! But like last year, I am very willing to do impromptu programming.

I want to talk about monstrous bodies and power, the bouncy breast thing, scars and limb loss and ablism, the lack of female protagonists, and stuff like that. Series I have in mind are: Claymore, Bleach, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Pumpkin Scissors, but really, that is only based on what I read.

Wah, why am I not going to Wiscon so I can participate in the shounen manga panel! Claymore, the shounen manga of my heart! And RuroKen, the very first fandom I was ever a part of over 10 years ago! (WTF, has it already been 10 years?)

I do not know! I wish you were there! Even so, I will try to do a good write up of it so there can be more discussion on DW later.

Any mention of Pumpkin Scissors still makes me snicker.

I am totally in, although the most shonen thing I've read recently is Koukou Debut. :)

Sad that we can't make it to WisCon this year, because the shoujo panel was such fun last year. I hope you get a good turnout!
