Ed-rat has just now discovered one of the crucial skills all devious agouti berkshires (a la Ruki) should possess: how to jump out of the bathtub. The first time, I was so surprised that I went "WAH!" and he got so startled that he fell back down again, but the second time he made it up and ran up my arm.

Al-rat watched jealously, got into position and sprang, only to scrabble at the top and slither back down again. (Twice.)

Heeeee! Now I am picturing Al Elric buried helplessly under the sand in the first ep of the FMA anime, only in a bathtub. "NIII-SAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"

... also I am mean and gave them this plastic cannister thing to play with, and then I put it right-side-up instead of on its side. Ed figured it out immediately and just climbed out (he's the smaller one, too, of course, so it's not like Al can't reach the top). Al sniffed around, tried reaching up, then gave up and is now still sitting in there.
