Wonderfalls
Thu, Mar. 18th, 2004 10:07 pmI don't know if I liked it... mostly, the really Malcolm in the Middle-type humor drove me nuts and the too-cool camera angles and cuts made me feel dizzy.
And I don't know if I like Jaye. She feels very facetious. I mean, I'm sure that's the point, but right now there's no one in the show that I like (except for bartender guy, and that's more for aesthetic purposes).
Parts I did like were her conversations with the bartender and especially her conversations with her friend... those sounded real. Maybe I'll catch tomorrow's and see if I like it better.

Give it a little time
Thu, Mar. 18th, 2004 10:25 pm (UTC)The first episode was written and directed by the creator of Malcolm in The Middel (Todd Holland) and the creator of Six Feet Under (Brian Fuller) Fuller wrote the teleplay. Holland directed. And if you've watched either show you could see homages to them.
Minear is writing and directing later episodes and is in charge of an arc that arrives in episode 6, according to his posts on ASSB and Buffistas.
So my suggestion? Watch at least 10 episodes before giving up on it.
