It is so scary that a trilogy that started so brilliantly has alienated me such that I don't want them either! I'll complete the set and find someone who's interested to pass it on to. How could such a Yoonable premise be destroyed?

That being said, for all its flaws I think the Scavenger trilogy is awesome(ly depressing), so discovering that was worth the disappointment of Engineer.
