Amazingly, I laughed even harder in this book. Lula kicks ass. I adore Lula.

From the part with the body and the Lula's car, I was pretty much laughing (very silently) for a good half hour or so. It's really hard to do belly laughs and keep quiet.

I continue to crush on Morelli, and I love Stephanie Plum.

Another thing I really love about these so far -- Stephanie's not super-sleuth or James Bond cool. She is, in fact, probably the anti-cool. And somehow, Evanovich manages to combine the theory behind deadpan humor and complete farce perfectly. Deadpan because everyone reacts like they would for a normal event, be it a bad dye job or, like in the last book, a very unexpected package in the mail. Complete farce because everyone's normal reaction is totally over the top and replete with a good deal of cursing.

Have I mentioned I love Lula?
