I sympathize with the mangaka! I am afraid of eye trauma. In my (not-so) illustrious scientific career, I have:
-- passed out during experimental eye surgery on rats -- blacked out for a couple seconds during eye surgery on humans -- got lightheaded and fled the room during glaucoma surgery on humans (aiiiiie, this was TERRIBLE!)
If I cannot handle surgery performed under controlled conditions, how in the world can I possibly cope with real, true eye trauma?
