... wow. I forgot how humid it was here. It's not that hot (yet), but everything is oh so sticky and clammy to the touch. Also, I think I've only been out of the plane for an hour or two, and I may already have my first mosquito bite.
On the other hand, my dad has an Asus EEE PC! The world taunts me with tiny laptops! Maybe I will look at the older models here and see if they're cheaper, since Asus is a Taiwan company. Before leaving, I didn't do anything save logistical stuff (packing, cleaning out fridge, etc.) and mainline Avatar and some Princess Tutu. Then I watched eps. 1-13 of Avatar S3 on the plane! I love my iPod so much. Its battery held up through all of that, and possibly could have gone for a few more episodes as well. Spoilers for S3: One bad thing about watching Avatar on the plane is having to suppress my desire to laugh out loud multiple times, particularly after Zuko switches sides. Also, I had forgotten how bad-tempered he was in S1! Oh Zuko. I did not like you that much as a character back then because I was too busy laughing over your emo angst about your honor, but now that you are attempting to do good poorly and having embarrassing geek moments, I sort of want to hug you and muss up your hair.
It was also good to catch up, as this time around I was actually paying attention. I had forgotten Toph learned earth bending from badger moles! And about the brainwashing in Ba Sing Se! I've also noticed that they seem to be pairing Zuko off with individuals in the Gaang so far -- first Aang, then Sokka. I hope a Zuko + Toph episode and a juicy Zuko + Katara one come next (am not a shipper, but will enjoy watching them snipe at each other).
