PEAS!!!!!!!

I has a Rilina!
Yesterday, we watched some Gundam 00, Princes and Princesses (a series of fairy tales done by Michel Ocelot), and Sandglass. Gundam 00 is just as cracktastic as expected, albeit with better animation (Me: "Wow, the animation's really nice." Rilina: "Yeah, though I guess Gundam Wing's was good for its time?" Me: "BWAHAHA! um, no."). Princes and Princesses remains sweet and charming and beautiful and quirky even on rewatching. And Sandglass is much more melodramatic than I had expected.
Plus, since Sandglass was made in the mid-90s, which meant everyone was clothed head-to-toe in stonewashed denim (the main character had a fleece-lined stonewashed denim jacket!), with the occasional foray into black-on-white jaguar print pants.
We also had lots of tasty food with
thistleingrey and flailed about crack manga, dramas, and Korean language tidbits (there was less flailing and more analysis on the latter).
Today, I took Rilina to my farmer's market, which I have not been to in months. And lo and behold, when we got there, there were MOUNTAINS OF PEAS!!!!!!!!!
PEAS, PEOPLE!!! PEAS!!!!!!
I have not had peas for months!
We also got tarts, bread from Acme, salmon spread, strawberries, and frozen dumplings (why make them when you can buy handmade from local people?).
But, most importantly: PEAS!!!!!!!

I also just tried a variant of this as a pasta dish. The sauce is butter, olive oil, salt, mint, and lemon zest, tossed with peas and asparagus over pasta. Top with a little parmesan. My GOD it's amazing.
