Yoon and I are in LA! Well, SoCal at least (I am sure using this abbreviation is an abomination, but so it goes).

Conclusions:
  1. I-5 is the most boring highway ever. It goes straight for 200+ miles, goes through no cities, and only has gas stations every 20 miles or so. Also, half the time, it smells like cow.

  2. Apparently one can get RSI-like syndromes from holding a steering wheel too long.

  3. I have played way too much Initials, as Yoon kept coming up with things I could guess.

Highlights from Initials:
  1. GG, recently died, male, non-fictional, orthogonally related to SFF.

  2. MB*, male, dead, Western and non-Western, non-fictional, most people would say he is human but some other people would not.

  3. PT*, female, not quite alive and not quite dead, not quite human, fictional, sort of fights but not really, anime.

* means it's not the person's real name, but a title or what they're commonly known by.

So far, the traffic karma with Yoon has been ok, as I have not yet been ticketed or run over anyone's luggage. Possibly Yoon's bad traffic karma is only when combined with Rachel, whereas mine is when I am combined with Mely.

We're now waiting for Rachel to have Chinese food that will hopefully not be bones!

I can tell you that I-5 is not the most boring highway ever.

The most boring highway ever is I-70 through Kansas.

Trust me on this one.

I'm not sure about that - I've driven lengthwise through both Nebraska and Kansas, and I think Nebraska bored me more. I don't remember the highway names, though.

Omg, the I-5! That is indeed the most boring highway ever. There really is nothing to see but fields and it does smell like cow. And, oh man, that tiny towns that occasionally crop up look like the sorts of places that bad people go when they die.

I am now having flashbacks from the summer of '04 when I drove with my family from southern California up to San Francisco and back. Never again!

Welcome to SoCal (which is totally not an abomination)!

Enjoy the warm weather. You may want to hit the beaches tomorrow (or at least get further south).

SoCal is acceptable! And ooh, what does the weekend look like for you two?

I-5 is definitely not the most boring highway ever. That'd be the old highway going from Salt Lake City up through Idaho and into Northeastern Oregon (the number of which I can't remember).
