Cool!
Nothing intelligent from me here -- I think I caught a cold from the boy, and all my upper brain functions have basically stopped.
I love Angel S1 redux with snarky Spike, and almost cheered when the two-armed stake bit came out. And Lindsey is back and playing mind games!
I loved the sheer creepiness and just plain weirdness of Angel's dreams, especially the dried walnut of a heart and the goldfish. And I loved loved loved his becoming the mail cart guy ala Numero Cinco.
Wes is so getting shut out, except when he teams up with Gunn to try to recruit Spike. Gunn doesn't have an obvious storyline right now, but I can't help feeling that his pantherness in Angel's dream and his increasing control of W&H is important, which is of the cool. For some reason, the Wes/Gunn tag team reminded me of Vandemar (sp) and Croup in Neverwhere.
I'm sure there are tons of other things I loved about the ep, including but not limited to multiple episode shout-outs that feel more like premonitions or building up instead of just pure fannishness. Plus, I'm excited because things are finally kicking into high gear! Yay, my show!
ETA: sorry for the messed up cut tag! Missed a quotation mark =(.
