I spam LJ today!

I found the SD card I thought I had lost, and so I have some old pictures, plus new ones of the rats and knitting.

Foliage hat for some of the baristas at the local coffee shop we knit at. I love love love love love the yarn. It is amazing and soft and squishy and OMG LOVE. LOOOOVE. LOOOOOVE. I think if I had a lifetime supply of Malabrigo, I would die happy.



My finished Anastasia socks! Still a little too big, because I have to figure out proper sizing, but nice. Alas, the bind-off is still a little too tight, but whatever.

SO CUTE! I love my rats so much! And look, Bya doesn't look evil!

All three rats! And Bya doesn't look too evil, I hope. It's so funny how they pile on each other. Sometimes, I can squish my hand in there, and they just cuddle against it like it's another rat.



And now, Bya returns to being the evil dictator of the rat cage that he is.

Aw, ratties! Ruki has such pretty fur.

I think if I had a lifetime supply of Malabrigo, I would die happy.

Oh yes. Someday I will finish my Malabrigo scarf and wear it everywhere, it's so soft.

I know! His fur is so neat -- long black hairs, then shorter white and black ones tipped with brown, so if you brush it it, you see a greyish undercoat.

I think I will get Malabrigo laceweight next, even though I have yet to complete a shawl!

It's almost like my tortoiseshell cat's fur, except more organized (she's patchy and splotchy, sort of).

Oh, no, I didn't even know they had laceweight. I think I can resist, though, since after the Malabrigo scarf I have to finish the horrifying kid mohair Misty Garden scarf.

And that yarn you're winding is very shiny, as well as being a lovely steely blue. Is it some special kind?

Awww! The rats usually don't like being on their back, but they like pinning each other to the ground. You can sort of imagine Ruki pushing his front paws at Bya going, "Get.. offa... me! Meanie!"

The yarn's heavyweight Blue Moon Socks That Rock; it's actually not shiny =(. But I love the color variations! It's what I used to knit Yoon's tatami kimono.
