oyceterHrm. I've forgotten a lot of the plot from the first three volumes, so I was a bit confused. Not that that's anything new...
I am still sad about the loss of Kanoko's hair and glasses. I continue to miss grumpy frumpy Kanoko!
I also miss the Kanoko-Mayu relationship, which has been pushed into the background by the various romantic relationships, or at least by the potential for romantic relationships. I'd really love to see Kanoko and Mayu both talking about it, particularly as Kanoko seems to be perpetually boggled by Arata's attraction to her. Well, I am as well.
Even the introduction of the cute sister and somewhat tragic backstory has not warmed me to Arata, who continues to be extremely self-centered and selfish, a rather unattractive combination. On the other hand, I like that Tsubame has decided that he is just going to concentrate on the now and not on his destined love, and that both he and Kanoko are doing that. The introduction of the new Agemaki is complicating that, but I'm guessing that's where the series will go when it ends next volume. Speaking of which, it is so good to read series that end! Unlike the double-digit series I am still trying to catch up on!
I am so amused that Kanoko is freaked out by public displays of affection and doesn't want to look like boyfriend-girlfriend, while Tsubame keeps trying to hug her.
Also, I really want to find out what's up with Mike! And more story for Mayu as well, though I think her large part is over, with the resolution of her past life with Kanoko in the previous volume.
