oyceterI am a mad knitter! Unfortunately, I should probably stop soon, as my wrists are starting to hurt. That can't be a good thing...
Branching Out, in the process of being blocked (please ignore the general mess)
The pins! The pins! The horror! The horror! But the pattern opened up beautifully, and I'm briefly tempted to knit another one. You can compare to the unblocked version.
Two baby hats (Kate Gilbert's Pea Pod set from the Interweave Knits website), made for coworkers' kids. Quick knit, and for once I actually had the correct yarn for something. I am, however, very amused that it was the first yarn I ever bought at a local yarn store, and it has sat in my stash, unused, for a little over two years now. See! My pack rat tendencies are now justified!
Reversible red cabled scarf. I loved the heathered dark reds of this (Cascade 220).
The insane mohair lace top, part 1. It is so pretty, and yet so painful! I am eagerly anticipating blocking it and watching it open up.
Brown cabley scarf, horseshoe cables. You can't really see them all that well. I blocked this one within an inch of its life, which is the only reason the cables opened up. Alas, it's not reversible, though there are two nice little mock cable columns on the back. Picture of a pre-blocked version.
I am currently working on a striped baby sweater for a knitting circle friend, a leafy green scarf (merino, alpaca, and silk blend, mmmmmm), and a Noro scarf. It's good the Kureyon is so scratchy, or I'd be tempted to keep it myself, the colors are so gorgeous.

Tue, Feb. 13th, 2007 10:41 pm (UTC)I know! I love the reversible cables. Knitty's winter issue also has reversible cable scarves, except they use 1x1 ribbing so that the cable looks the same on both sides.
