Ruki has been very confused lately because he's been crawling into the little plastic rat igloo whenever Bya is sitting on top. I occasionally hear a few "thunk shuffle shuffle thunk thunk SQUEAK!" noises emerging from the cage, which basically means that Ruki is attempting to stand up and lift the entire igloo with him (I don't know. Maybe he's too lazy to crawl out).

Bya mostly just sits on top and looks vaguely confused as the igloo bumps and moves and shuffles from under him.

I use this as proof that my rats are incredibly, incredibly dorky. I mean really. Look at him.




Bya is not quite as dorky or as complacent as Ren, but he is trying to lick my finger anyway.




Ruki is also not as fond of this position, though he looks a little confused in this picture.

Awww, I am glad! Poor Bya is sometimes underappreciated, but he is so cute and licky and round.

Fellow rat owner!

I suspect mine are more "annoyed and abused" than "cool" ;). They good-naturedly deal with me constantly trying to flip them on their backs and kiss their tummies.
