Happy Halloween everyone! Do people in Europe celebrate? It's very strange here because I've almost forgotten about trick-or-treating and stuff. Boy and I made a last minute run to the supermarket for candy just in case. I also carved my second pumpkin ever yesterday. First pumpkin ever was carved last year at Sarah's house. Pumpkins are kind of gross on the inside.

Didn't dress up or anything, although I have a picture of me in costume from the Stanford GSB Halloween party about a week or so ago. Boy and I not really doing anything because the boy has a midterm tomorrow (boo). I tried to rent Sleepy Hollow, not having the foresight of getting it through Netflix, and both Blockbuster and Hollywood Video were out of it. Grrrrr. Watched Nightmare Before Christmas yesterday while carving pumpkins -- it's so great! I can watch it for Halloween and Christmas! Anyhow, am still completely enamoured of the movie and the off the kilterness of that entire universe. Plus, it just looks awesome -- very little is geometrical, no straight lines, no perfect circles, everything just skewed. Plus, I always laugh at Jack's messed up gifts... one of my favorite parts is when the kid holds up a dried head to show his parents.

I think this means I am a little strange.

And the songs are really catchy. My favorite is "Kidnap the Sandy-Claws," which was stuck in my head for weeks once. Anyway, I love love love that movie. Maybe I'll watch it again today because I wasn't really focusing on it yesterday because of gooky pumpkin goodness. Substitution of one Tim Burton movie for another seems fair...
