Sun, Oct. 5th, 2003 11:53 pmA kid I used to tutor in grammar back in high school asked me today: In the sentence "I sang at the top of my lungs," "I" is the subject, and "my" is the predicate nominative right?

Tue, Oct. 7th, 2003 03:49 am (UTC)Actually, my old roommate has a better grasp of rules of grammar, I think because he was born in Hong Kong and English is his second language. He's more conscious of the actual rules, whereas I'm more of the feel-it-out-as-you-go kind of grammarian. *g*
