Am having a great deal of fun going through all three (gasp...) months of LJ entries and making memories.

I have also been a good girl. I downloaded Chosen, but I resisted the (great) temptation to watch it. Yay Buffy finale party tomorrow, in which I will meet hecatehatesthat for the first time!

Angel 1x01-1x02

I also watch City of and In the Dark with the boy, sparked by watching Harsh Light of Day. Man, I really miss first season Angel. I know lots of people started watching with Buffy, so Angel's kind of a youngish show to them, but I really got into the Jossverse with Angel. I watched Buffy religiously when I got into it, but that was around 6th season. I still haven't seen every single Buffy ep (though I'm working on it!). On the other hand, I watched Angel from my computer diligently in order, from the very first episode. Yeah, so it wasn't like watching it on TV, but I figure I had no access to the WB then anyway (was in college without "cable"). So Angel is the show in which I always get all nostalgic for the little 3-person AI family of season one. Awwww.... Man, I miss Cordy and Doyle. And Dork!Wes.

I know what you mean! I've watched Angel faithfully from day one, and overall I enjoyed AtS S1 much more than BtVS S1. Maybe cuz while I didn't instantly love Xander and Giles, I loved all the Angel characters -- Angel, Doyle, Cordy, Wes, even Kate. Sure, the S1 eps had really simple plots most times, and the helpless female routine, but really I think the characters were more enjoyable, less whiny, less soap opera. OK, I've enjoyed the "turgid supernatural soap opera" of S4 (though not S3) but I miss those days at Angel Invs. where they were family, brothers and sister, not all about pseudo-incestuous relationships!

Er, sorry! Didn't mean to go off on a rant like that! But yeah, love "City Of" and "In the Dark".

I'm very impressed by your self-control. Hope you have fun at your finale party! I'm hiding in my room to watch, hoping my family will have the decency not to bother me!

I haven't even seen S1 of Buffy! Well, I saw the first episode, Angel, and Prophecy Girl. But yeah, I have this inexplicable adoration of all the early Angel characters and how they all seem so lost in the world. That's what I miss most about AI -- the feeling that they're all outsiders just trying to make it in the scary world of LA.

I'm still not quite realizing that Buffy's really over, despite all the press and everything... *sigh*
