Angel 4x11 Soulless

oyceterVery cool episode. I like Angelus very, very much.
The Fred/Gunn/Wesley things needs to be over very soon because I can't stand it when Gunn is being stupid and overprotective. He's kind of boring now, sad to say. Just glowers as Wes all the time and hovers over Fred. I really didn't like Fred in this episode. jennyo's LJ on Fred being a manipulative person who feels like she needs to be protected by guys and thus subtly pushes Wes and Gunn to fight over her. I think this Fred would be much more cool to see some of than the "No Charles! Don't!" Fred. Who of course gets punched in the face. I very much hope that Wesley does not end up with her, because though I adore Wesley, I really don't want to see him with Fred. Like Lilah much better. But don't know how much of that we can get.
Love the Wesley/Angelus encounters! Cordy would be boring except I'm still looking for Evil!Cordy under all her heroic talk. Cordy as a character has gotten so much duller now that she's a bona fide heroine and Angel's love interest, and I hope desperately that the same thing doesn't happen to Spike.
And so feeling the love for Angelus. He gets to say all the nasties I think and mess around with everyone's heads in a simply beautiful manner. Was definitely cheering a bit when he got Fred in a headlock because I am a sick little puppy.
All in all a good episode, better than this week's Buffy I thought. Angel's arc is starting to get extremely cool; still waiting for Buffy's to get going a little more. And I'm also spoiled rotten for Angel, so I'm pretty sure that it's going the right place, while with Buffy, a bit nervous about potential things that could go wrong with ME. But I have faith in Joss and ME and that all will turn out well. Especially after hearing spoilers for Buffy 7x17!
