2x20 Look Who's Stalking

One, I am not a Logan/Veronica person (I don't mind it, I'm just not really invested in it), but even I found Veronica's "And what face is this?" bit cute.

I know I say this every episode, but how much do I love Keith and Veronica? Thiiiiiiiis much! Just things like "Hi Dad, I know you told me to stay out of this, and I did, but the red truck is right here, what should I do?" and Keith showing up and handcuffing himself to Lucky.

I felt very bad for Leo when he found that Veronica had called him over for a case, and I loved Veronica's face when he said, "Same old Veronica."

And Mac! Mac on board a pirate ship for dinner! *snort*

Despite the goodwill generated toward Logan/Veronica at the beginning of the episode, I was nearly screaming at my TV when Logan launched into his "epic love" speech. I totally called him being very drunk, although really, that's not so much insight on my part as things to be expected on his. That being said, I really like that the show doesn't let Logan be all woobie-ish and that they always, always counterbalance moments like these with the end of the episode.

Oh, my heart totally broke for Veronica then. The poor girl.

I love that she snatched the drink out of Gia's hand.

And Woody, you totally suck for trying to set up Keith. SUCK!

2x21 Happy Go Lucky

Gaaaaaah they let Aaron Echolls off! I mean... I'm not totally surprised, but the look Veronica had when she heard, and Logan's look... ouch. The scum! (Aaron, not Logan)

And oh, the school shooting and Wallace!

And oh, Veronica being painted as the Scarlet Whore of Babylon on the witness stand after all she's tried and bled and worked for this, and the revelation of the chlamydia to Keith, and Keith's constant assurance that yes, he trusts his daughter. I love that Keith doesn't say anything afterward, just asks if she's ok.

Beaver and Mac trying to teach Weevil algebra was priceless. Especially Mac. And I love Weevil, even though he's doomed now that the boys came forward, and I love this show so much for all actions having consequences.

And awwww to Wallace telling Veronica it was worth being duct taped to a pole.

2x22 Not Pictured

These last few episodes have really been reminding me of Buffy, especially the moment where Veronica gets up on stage to graduate and gets cheered. Granted, it's not a sparkly umbrella, but Veronica is my girl, and I love Keith for applauding like he does and I love that she gets her due. Ditto with Clemens' remark.

Poor Weevil! Well, actually, more, poor Weevil's grandma! I'm glad Weevil got caught, and I've adored the Weevil arc this season, from his thorny dealings with the PCHers to the final confrontation with Thumper. I just wonder what will happen to him next season, because I seriously doubt he'll get the Aaron Echolls treatment.

And Cassidy, you jerk! I know it's not nice of me to be more mad at him for raping Veronica than for killing a busload of kids, but I am. I love how it all makes sense, the cell phone in Dick's bag on the bus, the dead rat to get Cassidy's friends off. The fact that he's so scared that he'd rather kill an entire busload of people to get a threat off his back. And... RAGE! I am very glad that they brought "A Trip to the Dentist" back in, and I love that the show builds on S1.

The early dream sequence with Veronica's life if Lilly hadn't died was painful and lovely and a wonderful way to start the episode, especially the little thing with Wallace.

I knew Keith wasn't going to die, but I still hurt for Veronica trying to call her dad. The way her voice broke and her sheer panic and the "Daddy?" just killed me, as did her waking up to the smell of bacon and looking for Keith when he wasn't there.

I liked Logan just hugging Veronica when she really needed it, but I still have problems with Logan always physically rescuing Veronica. Well, nt always, but there's a trend from S1, when they kiss after he bails her out at the motel, to helping her with the Fitzpatricks to the scene on the roof. And poor, poor Mac, huddled in the corner.

I have absolutely no idea what went on with Kendall and the lawyer, but I'm sure it'll be explained next season as well.

So I'm guessing that Woody was the one who started calling Cassidy "Beaver"?

And now, I go off to hunt down all the other write-ups!

We already know part of what Kendall did, to help Aaron Echolls get acquitted. She stole hair samples from Duncan's shower which were then planted on the Lily Kane murder weapon to cause reasonable doubt. They never directly said it, but that was the implication.

There were a few moments where I figured that, if any should would kill off a major and necessary character at the 11th hour, it'd be this one. For the sake of the chemistry between Kristen Bell and Enrico Cataloni, however, I'm really glad they didn't.

Arresting Weevil was a clever twist - it's an unsentimental way to keep Veronica involved in his life next season while acknowledging his serious moral decline this season.

I'm so glad VM was renewed for next season! I'm very curious about how they do a freshman year at college.
