This show has officially eaten my brain. Thank goodness the weekend is here so I can finish the series in a mad binge!
1x20 M.A.D.
1. Carmen's boyfriend is scum. In fact, he is worse then scum. I was so, so, so, so angry when I found out he drugged his girlfriend and then took explicit video of her and then sent it to the school. I wish Weevil had tied him up there in the middle of the night or something. Seriously. Yes, date rape really, really, really pushes my angry buttons.
2. I continue to be leery of Logan/Veronica and of Logan in general. He has his moments of sweetness, but they seem to be very limited to a certain circle, and he also seems to be capable of incredible meanness and cruelty and just plain unthinking callousness. And while the offer of a date was nice, there's still something about a fancy brunch on a yacht that doesn't quite seem Veronica. Heh. That was understatement. And of course, there is the discovery of the date rape drugs (I'm not sure how the drug they mentioned differs from roofies, but I suspect it's equally as bad, if not worse). Dun dun DUN!!!!!
I dunno. It's odd that I love almost all the other characters for their flaws, but Logan scares me. I think it's because deep down, I don't think he's a nice person or even wants to be a nice person.
3. And awwwwww to Keith and Alicia dancing! Poor Veronica, finding the newspaper ads. It's also a bit startling seeing how emotional and non-tough she gets when confronted by the idea of her parents splitting up, despite (or because of) all that she's been through. Even while I want to hug her for being so hurt, I'm glad Keith is happy and that Veronica couldn't cancel the ad in the end.
4. And oooooooo Weidman strikes again! Dun dun DUN! I love how Veronica's actions have repercussions; her being the nifty girl detective is cool, but I'm glad that moral quandries are coming up, especially since Veronica would care more if they affected people she enlists to help her out than if they affected her. Man. I hope Alicia doesn't end up thinking that the Mars are bad apples after all. And poor, poor Wallace. Ouch. I am a bit scared to see the fallout from this one!
5. Fallout! Anticipating so much fallout! I almost felt a wee bit sorry for Logan, waiting in his fancy yacht, except the whole giving away of date rape drugs thing and my brain goes KILLKILLKILL!
