Wargh, yarn frustration
Fri, Jul. 15th, 2005 09:28 pmSigh. I was trying to figure out what I did wrong to add an additional stitch in my branching lacy scarf, but I must have done something really wonky. So I decided to frog a few rows and start from there. Alas, the yarn I am using is really, really hard to frog and I ended up breaking it. Am too tired to pick through it and figure out where I am, so have lost a good 50 some rows of work. Boooo.
I have also finished my first tank top!

I forgot that cotton doesn't stretch half as much as nylon ribbon, so the top is way too small for me, even with the lace-up back. Siiigh. Will try to give it to a friend. And the middle row of yarn overs is a little off because of a dumb mistake I made. Oh well. Making another version in pale yellow, one size larger with a higher needle size too, just so that the fabric drapes and breathes a little more. Yes, yes, obviously I should be unlazy and gauge.
And I have started my first crochet project! Pretty lace lap blanket for my sister's new apartment, hopefully will finish way before Thanksgiving, when I visit her.
