Bad me

I was a bad girl... To take a break from the on-going Stargate marathon, I walked around the block to the Tower Records. Turns out they have a fairly substantial bookstore inside, and I ended up buying Ellen Kushner's Swordpoint, thanks to aliera9916's rec and a new Sharon Shinn novel. I can see having a bookstore right around the corner as being a very disastrous thing to my finances. Heh.

Stargate continues to be good, especially since I landed on an episode that was basically this giant two-parter all about Sam. Yay Sam!

I attempted cooking Chinese eggplant today, which didn't turn out too well. Oh well. I am the only one eating it, so as long as I don't poison myself, I should be fine.

I always liked the second Samaria novel best - not that I didn't love the first one, but I really treasured that Alleluja and Delilah weren't antagonists but both likeable, interesting characters.

And of course that's the only one I haven't read yet! I actually read Alleluia Files first and didn't think that much of the series, but somehow, they grew on me. Kind of like Stargate...
