BPAL: The Lady of Shallott
Thu, Jun. 2nd, 2005 10:31 pmBPAL: The scent of calm waters just before a raging storm, limned with achingly-beautiful blooms, an icy scent, but somehow warm, and mirror-bright: bold gardenia, crystalline musk, muguet, water blossoms, clear, slightly tart aquatic notes and a crush of white ginger.
Imp: I have no idea what it is, but it smells like department store perfume. I think I am going to dislike this one.
Wet: Whoa, flower-smell! I suppose that's gardenia? And there's a lot of spiciness under it, which is probably the ginger, and only a little aquatic-smell. I totally don't get the icy but warm and mirror-bright thing from the description. It's not a yucky smell yet, but it's way too cloying and strong for me.
Dry: Urgh, this smells strongly of powdery flowers. Yuckity. Must wash off wrists.
Fitz-rat lunged at the new smell. After he got used to it, he did stop trying to eat my wrists, which is of the good! Except, eww, now my rat smells like powdery flowers (gardenia?), and ewwwww, I cannot wash him off and ewwww, it's going to stay on him for weeks!
sophia_helix, shipping this off tomorrow. Hope you like it better!
ETA: You know what's really funny? While this turns horribly powdery on me, it actually smells nicely floral on Fitz-rat. Well, nicely floral intermingled with rattiness, that is.
