Reading book reviews again, and I'm being driven crazy by the fact that I desperately want to read Sorcery and Cecilia. So much so that I have nearly reconciled myself to buying it in hardcover. But now I can't find it! What's up with that?!

Sigh.

And I've got three pending orders from Amazon, plus the Megan Chance from Half.com. I am also irked because now I desperately want to read more Megan Chance (especially the Westerns) and it is driving me crazy that I can't because I've read almost everything now! So I picked up Patricia Gaffney's Outlaws in Paradise in hope that it will somewhat be the same. Here's hoping that it's a good one and doesn't piss me off like Crooked Hearts.

Lifewise, nothing much is going on. My life right now actually seems pretty boring after the madcap family visits of the past month. Sigh. I miss my family =(.

I loved Buffy through the earlier seasons and admired her and thought she was great, but I never loved her more than in late season 5 and season 6, when she was depressed and downtrodden and angry. I loved her most when she was overwhelmed by the world, when she was thisclose to the breaking point, and when she sometimes crossed over.

Wandered into Tower Records on a whim (they're just a parking lot away from my apartment), and found Ryan Adams' Love Is Hell Pt. 1 for 6 bucks (debated on Pt. 2, then figured I'd see if I liked this one first), New Pornographers' Mass Romantic (which I completely blame on anodyna) and Dirty Dancing (also six bucks).

Hey, I want Dirty Dancing. It's one of those movies I can watch forever.

Yay!! Usually they never have what I'm looking for in the used section.

I adore the latest LJ trend of posting mp3s -- found some really cool stuff that way.
