Xander's ... ew, won't think about it .. definitely does not get any more tolerable the second time around. Now I want to know why Caleb said what he did about Xander being the one who sees. Is Xander a kind of seer now, like Cordy? What does Xander see? Is this somehow about his speech to Dawn in Potential?
Caleb still creeps me out, especially with the voiceover ending.
Yeah, I was supposed to have some revisions in by Monday, and they are definitely still being worked on. My advisor just emailed me today saying she had comments on my third chapter and that she wanted to meet tomorrow. Now I'm all nervous and jittery, almost enough to inspire me to do work. I think my problem is, I feel as though now that I only have editing and a conclusion left, I'm very close to done, but I'm not. So I need to stop coasting. I also hatehatehate doing revisions, especially with something like this, in which I feel everything I've been saying is just so stupid and repetitive and completely not worth using an entire thesis to say.
Ugh. I just want to be over and done with so I can go around and have fun on LJ, soak up the sun (it's out! it's out! NJ is beautiful and full of flowers and blue skies!), lie around rereading His Dark Materials and the Terry Brooks book I'm only reading because I read the first two in the series. And I only read those because I've read everything else in that series. *sigh* I hate it when a favorite author from youth turns out to be not as exciting and new and different as I thought when I was little.
Hrm. I didn't even read the script or even all of the summary, but wow. That was a huge blowup. Mostly I've only read the ones of the kind of anti-Spike and anti-Spikefen, but I've come across a few disappointed Spuffy people. I think I just haven't been on certain boards enough to have read the Spuffy reaction, which I've heard is just as bad. This is the only show that I've really been reading and kind of involved in an online fandom for, so I wasn't there to see the X-Files fallout. But then, I quit watching that around season 6 because the computer game Mulder and Scully and Mulder ogling at hot babes in cyberarmor was too much for me. Tried to pick it up again when Doggett showed, and I did like Doggett, but it just wasn't the same. But I kind of figure, I like what Joss does, and he's never really let me down before. Yeah, I was one of the people who was spoiled for Seeing Red, heard the huge flurry about the attempted rape (among both anti-redemptionists and redemptionists and Spuffy people), and watched it. I loved it (in a non-sick manner?) because for me it did manage to capture the sheer insanity and pain Spike was going through, as well as Buffy's problems and made me hurt so much for both characters.
Er, got sidetracked. Anyway, I basically just want to say that I'll have an opinion when it airs, and there's never been an episode of Buffy yet that I've actively hated. Ones that I've been iffy about or didn't care about (Doublemeat Palace! Some filler season two!), but that's all.
I'll stop now, since I'm probably not making much sense anyway
