Wow, that relay was awesome.

I'm started to try to keep track of who sings along to the anthem or not -- I keep wondering if people have forgotten the words, or are too embarrassed or shy or emotionally choked up to sing, or if they've simply screamed their voices out when they won.

And I love gymnastics. Love. It's watching them do those flips in the air and the releases on the bar and feeling that for just a few seconds, maybe gravity has no effect on them at all and they could just fly.

Am avoiding news and etc. because I don't want to know who wins before watching... heh, Olympics spoiler phobe?

I continue to wish that NBC would just cut out all those interviews and sappy bio things and whatnot and just show me the events! Jeez. I bet I could have watched all of China or Russia's floor routines or something during one of those spotlight on Romania bits, plus, it would have been more interesting.

I wonder if Aleksei Nemov made the men's all-around final? Oooo.

Yes! The interviews with the US women's gymnasts after the allaround made me want to reach into the TV and throttle the interviewer. I sit with the remote so I can mute when they get too stupid. I've been pretty disappointed in the coverage overall, but yes, I love the bits of gymnastics I've been able to see.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the interviews and bios. I have HDTV, so whenever those come on, I just switch from the normal NBC broadcast over to the high definition broadcast (they're different). Presto! Problem fixed :)
