Yay! I am officially a buyer now ^_^.

Well, I bought a few orders today, which was quite nifty. Haha. So now it is my official job to go through tons of books and pick them out and deal out store credit and cash. I feel quite powerful, really ;).

And the boss says I'm pretty much ready to price everything that goes in the store now, which is also cool.

And then I came home, and the boy had set up the new grill and grilled dinner, so I am fed as well.

And my parents are going to visit Rome and say I can go along too!! I've never seen Rome! So much history! Museums! Art! Architecture! (I'm very excited)

Life is good.

I think Rome is my favorite place that I've ever visited - there are lots of "second-favorites" but Rome is the best! When are you going?

Incredible museums, but also a lot of the most amazing paintings are actually in churches ... (I adore Caravaggio and a good many of his Roman paintings are still in the churches for which he painted them - including the glorious St. Matthew cycle in San Luigi dei Francesi!)

Jealous now.

I was walking back from the garage and someone who looked like you walked in front of me carrying a pizza into the complex, which I later realized was Shawn and Andrew's complex, and thus your complex. I didn't remember exactly what you looked like so I didn't want to say hi to you if it didn't turn out to be you.

Rome is awesome!

So many sites within walking distance of each other. Also, there is a tram that goes around to the major sites that you can step off and get back on as you choose for one flat rate.

The traffic jams are a sight to behold. That put Cali to shame.

I meant to do an email/post about this, I'll try to get to it today, letting everyone who showed interest know what everybody else said. The short story: a Sunday toward the end of the month, probably in SF since it's central.

Congratulations on the promotion to "buyer" - you've been working hard for that and deserve it!

One of my friends has spent a lot of time in Rome, and he has assured me that I would love it. Since you and I seem to have fairly similar tastes, I bet you too would love it. Have fun, and don't forget to blog from cybercafes.
