Apparently all my desire to slay things at work has dissipated, and instead, I have become extremely silly. Mostly I prowled around the house intent on being a very large and ferocious dinosaur and growled ferociously at [livejournal.com profile] fannishly and the rats. I don't think they were quite as impressed, though; I may have gotten several very odd looks saying something like "Why is there a person in the apartment prowling about, intent on being a very large and ferocious dinosaur?" However, I will not admit to this! Truly, large and ferocious dinosaurs are not appreciated properly in these lackluster days.

I also found that if I lie on my tummy and squash my nose on the couch's armrest, I feel just like Quasimodo from Disney's Hunchback, mostly because my nose gets turns up and smooshed and my mouth does too. This was very fun, though my neck got tired after a while and I had to revert to being a large and ferocious dinosaur (not a T-Rex! T-Rex's don't qualify as large and ferocious because of their itty-bitty arms and running about and falling down and breaking their necks because their itty-bitty arms weren't long enough to catch them!).

On a slightly less silly note, I took Fitz-rat to the vet again -- apparently his upper chest is congested and a bit of his lungs as well, sigh. More antibiotics for the poor fuzz! However, as the vet noted, he has most definitely not lost his appetite and remains as flat and fat and squishy as ever. He also got praised a lot by the vet, which in turn made me very happy.

Love my fuzzes, love me ;).

I also got my fuzzes to sleep on top of my feet! Fuzzy rats make very good feetwarmers in cooler weather!

And! I will be going to the Neil Gaiman signing in Berkeley on Friday, and I won't even have to drive! Yay for knowing other geeks at work! And there will be a mass Serenity showing on Sat., hopefully coupled with good thin crust pizza!

I also got my month's copy of Wired magazine today, one hundred plus (100+!!) pages of geeky joy crammed into paper and pictures!

And to top it all off, I finally have another copy of the Veggie Tales Water Buffalo Song. I also found a cover of "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" on [livejournal.com profile] audiography, the world's coolest comm.

oyceter: Delirium from Sandman with caption "That and the burning baby fish swimming all round your head" (delirium)
Today, I have been feeling very loud, so I have been bouncing around the house yelling, "I AM FEELING VERY LOUD!! BEEEEP!!" very loudly. I am amazed that the boy has actually not killed me in a fit of annoyance after dating me for two and a half years. I will not even mention other things I do around the house when it's just me and the boy, because then anyone who still thinks of me as somewhat resembling an adult will have their misconceptions thoroughly shattered.

I am never mature when I can be VERY LOUD!

I also had a funny thought. If my rats were fan stereotypes, Fool-rat would be the shy, retiring, yet very smart fan who everyone keeps trying to drag out into conversation (or to write fic) by offering various goodies. Fitz-rat, on the other hand, would be the absolutely shameless LJ comment whore (or feedback whore) and would run around bouncing and asking, "Please did you like my story please please please??"

BEEP!

(I'm probably going to read this tomorrow morning and be thoroughly embarrassed.)

Small things make me very happy.

Today I am wearing a black shirt (with sewn on sparklies and a keyhole neckline), grey pants and black boots. But unbeknownst to anyone else but me, I am wearing bright orange socks with tiger paws on them. And it totally doesn't matter that they are horribly ugly socks (sorry Princeton, but your school colors are really awful), because no one knows but me!

Hee.
