WANT BLACK WIDOW MOVIE
Tue, May. 8th, 2012 02:22 pmI think I've seen a Black Widow prequel movie confirmed in one place, but I don't know how official that is?
Spoilers for the comics (I think... at least what I could figure out via Wiki) and for the movie.
Natasha is in Russia and somehow discovers that she was part of a Black Widow superspy program. She's on a quest to hunt down all the remaining Widows and either kill them or recruit them, which is what puts her on SHIELD's radar and gets Hawkeye sicced on her.
Meanwhile, she has a wily older female mentor, preferably played by Lena Olin, who can or cannot be Spy Mommy from Alias, in which the relationship is full of deviousness and lies and mistrust and family bonds and almost unwilling affection and pride, and no one can quite tell if said mentor is trying to stop Natasha or help her. Eye patch and scar on mentor a definitely bonus, but not necessary.
Maybe insert something here about the Winter Soldier as a small tie-in to Captain America. (And to up ticket sales.)
Traumatic flashbacks to Natasha's childhood and training! Possibly with some guy!fridging! And none of which have to do with her learning to be all sexified to do her job. Training scenes should preferably be with her in sweaty sweats or t-shirts. Sarah-Connor-esque badass pullups a definite +++.
Hawkeye being strangely fascinated and doubting his lack of instinct to kill her! Natasha being business-like and brusque and doing things because they've got to be done, and damnit, she's the one who's there.
Something twisty about the Black Widow program that reveals Western European and/or USian influence so it's not all about "OMG USSR PANIC." I am sure the tricksy mentor is triple crossing everyone and fakes her own death.
Oh Hollywood. Make more things for me, please?
