Fogcon POC meet up!

Based on completely unscientific methods, have preliminarily decided to have two POC meet ups:

1. Friday night (3/11) at 9pm in the hotel bar after the Take-Off Party. I am not entirely sure when the Take-Off Party ends (or if it does end), so please let me know if there is a better time/location! I figure this way, if people want, they can meet up prior to the big panel days.
   
2. Saturday lunch (3/12), TBD12-1:30. This will be during the lunch slot (hopefully there is a lunch slot in programming?). I was thinking of having it at Darbar, which is an Indian buffet about a block away from the hotel. Hopefully the buffet will provide lots of options and make bill-splitting not too difficult, but I am up for any other suggestions!

I know not everyone checks Twitter/DW/LJ/whatever else, so I will also send info about the meetup out in email. Please comment here or email me at oyceter at gmail if you'd like to stay informed!

Also, if you are up for making pamphlets and/or handing out pamphlets, comment here or email me!

I will go wherever everyone else is going! I finally figured out the con schedule and there's really only the one panel that I'm super-interested in going to, and that's Saturday from 10:30-11:45a; but, if I miss it, eh, I'd rather hang out with peeps :3

I almost didn't! Because the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival is also that weekend, and that was almost more tempting - I've never been to a film festival either! - but, I figured I should at least give the con's programming a chance, so I peeked.

I, um, would be totally up for skipping out on bits of the con for the film festival (am volunteering for some of it, but I think I signed up for the parts in San Jose so it wouldn't overlap with the con).

It's looking increasingly like I won't be able to make it--too many variables to juggle, and the biggest variable (Reason) is extra fussy this week and will have vaccination shots the day before. So, um, if I don't show up, that's why. I'll probably impulse-decide that afternoon. :/

Yes! Possibly for crafting--weekend afternoons are much more plausible than what is technically after the baby's bedtime. :)
