Happy new year to people who celebrate!

(Okay, it is not new year in the US yet, but it totally is in Asia! Also, to everyone celebrating at home right now, eat lots for me because I am super jealous!)

I had my big fake New Year Eve dinner on Saturday, but I managed to find some people for hot pot and dinner today. Also, haha, I suppose I should save my leftover fish from Saturday for tomorrow, but it is so tempting! Also x 2, amazingly, I have actually been cleaning the entire house for the past day or two, largely because my kitchen was a mess, but now I will stop for two weeks, bwahahaha!

I found "Сар шиниин мэнд хүргье" for the Mongolian, but can't figure out if it is spelled properly or if my Google-fu completely fails me, and I am also not sure the romanization is right =(.

Hee, feel free to say Happy New Year in whatever language works best for you!

Шинэ жилийн баярын мэнд хvргэе (shine jiliin bayariin mend hurgeye) is the Mongolian that I know, but think that's a more formal form. I think. =)

"Oyce씨"라고 부르는 게 조금 awkward (어섹? 오섹?)한데요... Ahaha and now my Korean fails me. But yes, please feel free to use 반말 or to call me something less formal! (I hesitate a bit suggesting other Korean relationship terms since am not Korean and do not want to presume but would love it if it were not presumptuous!)

I tend to use 언니 a lot, but as I've grown older, I've found that people expect me to talk like a grown-up and use 씨! (Ahahaha...so not a grownup inside my head...>>;;;;;) So I've been a bit more cautious about not presuming too much as well! But I am always eager to use family-style 호칭 with people especially b/c of being only child and all. ^^

Haha, I am kind of used to being one of the oldest out of all the kids in my family friends, and some of them call me "Jie" kind of as a joke :). And all my sister's friends actually call me [sister's name]'s sister" because she's so used to calling me Jie that it freaks her out to use my name! But yeah, did not want to presume, ahaha, 근데 언니라고 부르면 난 너무 행복하겠어!

Happy New Year! The fake NY thing was great. I haven't gotten into the anime you loaned me, yet, because I feel like I'll need to marathon it to properly get with it (maybe this weekend?).

Haha the best part of Utena is it just keeps getting weirder! And you guys were only up to DVD 1! Sadly, I don't have the whole thing, but Tari mentioned she's also never seen the ending, so maybe we could do a viewing together when you get there?

Haha, I had to check a calendar a billion times. But! It is totally New Year in Taiwan and Korea and Vietnam and Mongolia right now (and well, okay, it is now in California too, but you know what I mean) so I feel that is good enough!
