So while setting up our project, we found an actual black widow spider.

Amazingly, rachelmanija isn't even in the area.

Heh. My mom freaked out when she found out that we had a nest of them in our yard - they're actually pretty common to our area and they're damn hard to kill with anti-bug sprays and stuff, so almost everyone has some in their yard.

Still, they're not exactly the most aww-inspiring critters, are they? *shivers*

Eep! I've lived in areas where they were present, and even helped tend a woodpile in one of those areas, but I've never seen one. Which is good, because while I don't have a spider phobia per se, I am very leery of the really poisonous ones! (Sort of like how I have no problem handling my housemate's ball python, but if I'm walking in tall grass in a rattlesnake area you'd better believe I'm cautious of snakes.)

Ewwwww!!!!! I did not actually see it, since I was basically across the room as my group partners dealt with it (Them: "Hey, it's actually a black widow!" Me: "KillitkillitKILLIT!").

I can't tell if it's hers or mine, since every time we get together, giant spiders appear in her bedroom and shower! And fleas bite my feet. Although she is solely to blame for the pantry moths.

That is very understandable! I don't mind snakes either, but would definitely be wary of poisonous ones or boa constrictors.

Sadly, I am deadly phobic of spiders as well as being cautious of the poisonous ones. EWWW!
