I finished 100K Kingdoms! Inhaled it. It was like she went and found all my buttons and custom-wrote it for me. She wrote about being mixed across ethnic/racial power differentials. And there was all this cool indigeneity stuff going on in the contrasts between Darre and Amn. Plus plus plus!
I didn't read the Vol2 teaser because I did not want to be teased, thus I am in the enviable state of being able to enjoy the Vol1 resolution. Nyah! (OTOH, I'm having trouble imagining where Vol2 will go.)
Oh, encouraging that Night Wanderer's primary appeal is not as id-fodder. Most vampire stuff doesn't work so well for me, and I've always suspected it was an id thing; whatever the main body of the genre is written to grab, I am apparently missing that handle.
