My NAS prof recs-recs-recs-recs Nalo Hopkinson, and has written a paper on indigenous themes in her work.
I'm reading Hundred Thousand Kingdoms RIGHT NOW, and am in raptures. Also, agonizing that someday I will hit the end of the book -- do I read slower, to stave that off? or do I keep right on mainlining it? And even though I could reread it, I will never ever again be reading it for the first time.
I need to get my hands on Night Wanderer, I think. I've been reading a lot of Taylor's plays lately, and it's hard-but-intriguing to imagine what a vampire novel from him would be like.
