Going back to CA tomorrow, sigh. Am already not anticipating the beginning of classes, although I'm sure I'll have fun with them once I get back in school-mode.

Will probably be offline for a day or two while getting everything in order and the airplane and etc, hopefully will catch up on the Great Cultural Appropriation Debate of DOOM then. (Also, much support and flamethrowers to deepad and shewhohashope, as even skimming the replies to your many awesome posts have made me go into instant KILL KILL KILL mode.)

My brain has exploded so many times, I think I will go read a soothing book about socks.

I've lost one of my favorite authors over this, and it just hurts. I wish it didn't look so much like last time, but it does.

I know. I just. I feel like these days, I have to prescreen all the authors I read, in case I find out retrospectively that they basically look down on me (I mean, not me personally, but Chinese people or POC or whatnot. But still. Me.)
