oyceterThings that made me happy today:
- fewer people came to trade, and I got to start teaching someone else how to coordinate! Hopefully this means I can start buying soon.
- it's summer here! I know, shouldn't cheer, what with heat waves and global warming, but I can't describe how wonderful it was coming back from Ohio, where it was grey and cold and snowed twice (didn't stick though) to 80 degree weather, blue skies, and budding trees. I wore a cute skirt today and sandals. There were people driving outside in convertibles with rock blasting. People were in tank tops and Hawaiian shirts and bright colors and sunglasses, and oh, how I love summer. I love California summers in particular because I've spent so many here. I love how it gets cool and refreshing at night, I love the blue, blue skies, I love the atmosphere and the hum of airconditioners and fans, the bright colors and the palm trees. I love being able to wear my silly summer clothes instead of the more practical winter ones. I love being able to eat outside in the sun. I love the dry, baking heat.
I really love summer.
Have I mentioned the dry heat? I adore saunas. The weather makes me want to go outside and dance and bike and picnic and run around and play frisbee. The grass is that much greener and the apartment pool is so much bluer.
I want to go out and barbeque and eat watermelon.
I really desperately hope the sun keeps shining... no more grey skies for me! I should never live anywhere that has anything even remotely resembling winter. Autumn proceeding directly to spring, mmm yeah ^_^.
