Spoilers through xxxHolic ch. 167 as well!

I don't even know if it's possible anymore to separate Tsubasa spoilers from xxxHolic spoilers, given how intertwined the two have become! Also, OMG, ANSWERS! Answers that make sense! Answers that make all the previous OMG CLONES statements even more awesome because it foreshadowed the Syaoran/Watanuki split!!!!! And basically, all the clones are possible because of the Syaoran/Watanuki split! I want to know specifically how the Sakura clone came about, but I suspect it has to do with the original seal and not being able to make it and her death entirely go away, much like how Fei Wang Reed uses Syaoran's wish to take original!Syaoran and create clone!Syaoran as the price of Syaoran's wish.

I think I really need to read CCS now, as the references are just increasing as both series go on.

I really want to see Syaoran and Watanuki's parents now.

I love Yuuko's protectiveness of Watanuki, and I am back to being a little frightened for him, as he is not supposed to exist. But I am less frightened for him than I was for Yuuko and Kohane-chan several chapters back, because at this point, I do not think they can make him disappear. Also, there are all the ominous references to Clow Reed!

I wonder if Watanuki felt some subconscious kinship to Himawari, as both of their existences visit pain on those they love.

Part of me is a little sad that my fic is probably jossed out of existence, but oh well.

You want to read Cardcaptor Sakura. You know how insanely cute and glee-inducing the flashbacks to kiddie!characters are? Imagine entire volumes of that.

Ok, yeah. That's...really offputting. I'm glad I went in not knowing about it. But in the 6 volumes I've read, that's about..10 pages of the book, and pretty minor. (Err...unless there's another later on...)

Ha, yes, I have totally given up on trying to keep spoilers for Holic blacked out in my Tsubasa posts and vice versa!

If you do read CCS, one thing that's interesting is the slightly different takes on the characterization of the two leads. I sort of feel like I need to reread it myself now, even though certain aspects fill me with sporky rage.

There is a lot to like about CCS. One must just ignore four COMPLETELY HORRIFYING age-disparate romantic relationships where the younger person is MUCH TOO YOUNG, period, not to mention that the other power dynamics going on are also awful.

Okay, that's not sounding like a rec. But in fact I really like a lot about the series.

THE RIVALRY IS THE CUTEST THING EVER!

Though I'm also fond of the dueling Sakura radars. See, I think the real reason Toya and Syaora can't stand each other is that they both have those extremely finely tuned "Sakura is sad/scared/in trouble/hurt/out of my sight and I must go NOW" radars, and close proximity to each other messes them up.

I have vast amazing love for CCS, and knowing the characters has definitely made Tsubasa more resonant. (I admit its flaws, though I will have to reread to see if there are really FOUR age mismatches. I can only think of -- oh, never mind, I know what the last one is.) You should read it, and then go back and read chapter 191 again.

On the other hand, I agree with what Mely once said: dorky, jealous CCS Shaoran is a serious disappointment if you're expecting made-of-awesome Tsubasa Shaoran. Now that we know they're not the same person, this may be less problematic.

I will definitely keep CCS's short-comings in mind! That way I will be pleasantly surprised by the rest, at least, that is what I hope.
