Oof, yeah. I never even noticed the Blue Sword thing until

rilina pointed it out last year -_-;;.

More embarrassingly, when I was watching things for this panel, I remember giving Blood Diamond an enthusiastic rec, figuring that the black character had juuuust enough screen time to not fall into the White Savior trope. Then I watched more White Savior movies and realized Blood Diamond hits a lot of the tropes. Sigh.
